Composition: Azithromycin 250 mg

LOGITHRO-250 contains Azithromycin, a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacterial infections. It is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, skin infections, ear infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases. Azithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing the growth and multiplication of bacteria. It binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit of the bacteria, disrupting their ability to produce essential proteins.

Indications:

LOGITHRO-250 is used for the treatment of bacterial infections such as:

Upper and lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, pharyngitis)
Skin and soft tissue infections
Ear infections (Otitis media)
Urinary tract infections
Sexually transmitted infections (e.g., chlamydia)
Certain gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Dosage & Administration:

The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the type and severity of the infection.
Generally, one tablet (250 mg) once daily for 3 to 5 days is recommended.
Can be taken with or without food, but preferably on an empty stomach for better absorption.

Precautions & Warnings:

Not recommended for individuals allergic to azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics.
Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment.
Avoid use with antacids containing aluminum or magnesium, as they may reduce absorption.
