Composition:

Ceftriaxone – 1g (Third-Generation Cephalosporin Antibiotic)

OGICEF Injection contains Ceftriaxone, a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effectively eliminating a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. OGICEF is commonly used in serious infections where oral antibiotics are not sufficient.

Indications:

  • Administered via intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection.

Precautions & Warnings:

Contraindicated in patients with severe cephalosporin or penicillin allergy.
Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver disorders.
Not recommended for neonates with hyperbilirubinemia (risk of kernicterus).
⚠ May cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, or diarrhea.
⚠ Avoid mixing with calcium-containing IV solutions.
